Iran TMCA screens award winning Romania film 'Graduation'

The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) has screened Romanian film ‘Graduation’ by Cristian Mungiu.

Romanian crime/drama flick ‘Graduation’ directed by Cristian Mungiu has been screened at the cinematheque of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art on Wednesday.

‘Graduation’ details the life of a Romanian doctor who takes matters into his own hands when an attack on his daughter jeopardizes her scholarship to a prestigious British university.

The film brought the Best Director award to Cristian Mungiu from the 70th edition of the Cannes Film Festival last year.

The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art regularly screens international films to the public.

Iran’s world-renowned TMCA plays host to works by many noble artists, including western types such as Claude Monet, Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst, Georges Braque, Alberto Giacometti, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Donald Judd, Andy Warhol, René Magritte, Duane Hanson and Chuck Close.
